The local fire department conducts the inspection.

My brother is disabled and has a private home health aide that comes for a few hours everyday to help in, it is paid for by some organization in Massachusetts where we currently live…
We want to move to Florida, but we were told by someone that the state of Florida does have such a organization… is that true????
How can Florida NOT have a similar organization ?
disabled People all over the usa really NEED a home health aide…

Not that I am aware of. Florida does not have universal healthcared as Massachusetts does. I believe Massachusetts is the ONLY State that has universal health care at this time.

i put my landlords 93 toyota corolla on craigslist for $500. Its been sitting for a year and isn’t starting. i made this clear in my craigslist posting. within 10 minutes of posting i had at least 7 calls with really high offers. one after another outbidded the last. eventually withing 45 minutes of posting the add, i had an offer of $1700. at one point a guy called and i told him i was getting the high offers and he said something about people buying them and sending them to their home countries and thats why they pay so much.

the guy who offered 1700 promised cash too. i made sure to so no bank checks, nothing. "i want 17- one hundred dollars bills. cash money." and he assured me cash. am i being scammed or what?

also ive never sold a car without help. i need to write up a bill of sale, can i just hand write it? or do i really have to go to the rmv. (im in massachusetts.) i’m not even sure if i can get the title. what can i do here?

@moose. i hear that. i have a 98 grand cherokee with 120k miles and a some front end damage and i can’t get an offer more than 450 bucks
also, every single person who has called me has an accent. some asian, some arab, some even a little italian sounding. so they are obviously from different countries, maybe immigrated to the US and really are sending the car to their home country.

orrrr the accent could also mean they are calling from another country and trying to scam me.

but the guy who i settled 1700 with says hes coming in person with cash. so how could it be a scam?

My company recently purchased a commercial building in Massachusetts. We received a letter in the mail requesting a check payable to the Massachusetts Appellate Tax Board for a substantial amount of money (10% of the assessment amount) to file a property tax appeal. I was wondering what this fee covers? I read everything I could about it, but no where can I find what this fee is for.

Whatever the state wants to use it for in most cases. Most state service fees go straight into the General Fund to be used as the Legislature chooses.
