is it legal in MA to shoot a paintball gun on your property?

Author: admin  //  Category: ma property

i got a big yard with loads of trees covering it and i shoot paintball at the trees.

I doubt it is a STATE crime, but it may violate a LOCAL law. It may also depend on the SIZE of the property and ‘big yard’ means practically nothing.

Yes it is legal. You can’t get sued by a mature tree or even a sapling in Massachusetts at the moment. Maybe that will change in the future, but you’re okay for the moment.

Fire away, but be sure that the paintballs stay within the boundaries of your yard. You can’t shoot onto the neighbor’s property without their permission.

Remember safety first if there are other people around and within your firing range. Be responsible.
