OKeefe said police have been given a number of possible motives for the fight between Cardoza and Greeson, “but nothing is firm enough to be aired at this time,” he said. “Whatever the reason for the fight, it wasnt enough to justify this outcome.”
An autopsy will be performed later on Cardozas body.

When they arrived, they found Cardoza on the ground bleeding from multiple wounds. Bourne firefighters took him by ambulance to Jordan Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Within the next two hours, police began receiving reports about home invasions, according to OKeefe.
“They were apparently trying to avenge Mr. Cardoza and went looking for Mr. Gleeson,” OKeefe said of those suspected in the home invasions. “They broke into several homes before they were apprehended by police.”
As Bourne police and state police detectives igned to the Cape and Islands District Attorneys office investigated the first attack, Bourne police received a call about a large commotion at the Ella F. Hoxie Elementary School in Sagamore Beach around 12:15.
Upon arrival, they found Greeson on the ground suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was airlifted to a Boston hospital. His exact condition is not known at this time, but OKeefe said initial reports indicate that he will survive.
Greeson will be arraigned at a later date, depending upon the circumstances of his health, OKeefe said,
